The hardback copy of AtD is available from amazon.de starting at 3,49 
Euros.

I always recommend COL49 for beginners. It serves as a good introduction 
to Pynchon's prose style and themes and is not overwhelming in length. 
Contrary to Pynchon himself, I also think it is an exceptionally fine novel.
