Penda’s Fen (1974)

Pegged as a folk horror film  that only aired on British TV twice, PF is a curious and odd take on an average English school boy questioning his beliefs re: ‘Englishness’, nation and God as a result of some strange visions.
His parson father reminded a lot of Rev Gwyon in his pagan sympathies.
Best one can find is a crap copy on YouTube. Still worth a look.
