M & D Group Read ( will it cont.?)

I hope it continues. I'm about four days behind reading the threads but should be caught up in a few days. I'm enjoying it so far. This is my third time through the novel.  I'm up to chapter 13. I'll continue to the end. I doubt I'll have much to contribute. There's no real point to this message other than to urge everyone to continue. There might be a few other lurkers following along without contributing.

Perhaps the weird fact that they are headed to Bath is part of the setup for the untold joke?  I guess they were going for a soak. Total immersion in the ancient healing waters. Somehow it is funny.

I’m taking M&D slow as i can manage and seem to be way ahead at Ch 19. Looks like this group read is headed for another  crash and burn which may be inevitable until a new novel. 

Perhaps P-listers  could post a couple 3 sentences on how they see group reads and what, if anything might make it worthwhile,  or why it isn’t. No value judgement, just maybe good to know what is up with this. I was looking forward to some fresh voices but maybe this format is too demanding for most to get involved with.
