Bad link?

Dear Dr. Krafft,
Sorry that I am the one who displeases you/all with some of my posts. When they were too many; when they have been few. I am wondering if I should just stop altogether.
But I must push back on this judgment, with which I disagree.
First, this is not an"advertisement". This was a sharing to the Pynchon list of something perhaps new about Pynchon. Twitter and blogs are full of such, most of which are not worth reading, certainly not worth posting.
But sometimes we have to trust others. While scrolling, while waiting, I had read Carolyn Kellogg
Book editor/critic of the LA Times, who regular Plist readers know as a smart appreciator of the work of Thomas Pynchon. I have "talked" to her online; she has a posthorn tattoo.
She spoke positively of this guy who just went RIP
online with memories and praise. I had not heard of him.
But I trusted her judgment and as my news scrolling hit upon that tweet, I --from my point of view--offered it as a kind of gift to all those on the Plist who might be interested. I hoped and knew someone or two would follow-up by reading and perhaps commenting ( when I had no time, as stated). I sometimes see the Plist as a community of suggestions, leads, as well as facts and discussion of Pynchon (and perceived related writers and ideas and facts).
It is not hard to use what I had sent to find the piece, as one did and shared.
I should just have not answered and let it unfold, it seems, since I was wrong in your eyes no matter the reasons.
Here's this morning's thought: no half-good deed goes unpunished; better NO PLISTER (esp Dr.Krafft) even knew of it than this.
If any Plister wants to defend my linking without reading publicly here or offline, I welcome it.
Otherwise (and maybe anyway), I'll continue fading away.
With Respect,
Mark
