Vanity, vanity, mine: Nobel Prize for Literature Canceled for 2018 "Who would really care to accept this award under the current circumstances?"

Well, the Plist helped the fiction editor of the WA PO be inspired to
today's fine reflections---in which TRP is namechecked. (and in the way
which
once led me to think that this remark of Engdahl's, so wrong about Pynchon,
is what led me to first believe he had already been ruled out for other
reasons. As I surmised then,
because he would not accept it, real bad shit in their PR eyes.)

I'm sure Ron is just being generously kind to my bcc's. I'm sure he was
inspired more by the history and reality of it all and his own beliefs.

Thanks for including me on your messages yesterday. You inspired me to
write up a little reflection on the Nobel Prize.

Best wishes,

Ron
