We learn from the prefatory material in Lorrie Moore's new collection
of her non-fiction that she started writing at Cornell, 80's. Got some
attention nationally.

We know that Ms Jackson is Lorrie Moore's agent.

We know where Thomas Pynchon went to school.

I know--and shared here--the somewhat surprising info that in a reprint of
an early--first?--novel of Alison Lurie, longtime Cornell teacher, the
credited agent changed from Someone Else--Candida Donadio?--
to Melanie Jackson.
Probably around the time she went independent from--was fired by-- Candida
taking her new boyfriend, soon enough, husband.

Seems Melanie got herself partly secured as an Agency with some major
Cornell connections, among other unknown to me ways.
