Chap 35. Rev Cherrycoke's *Christ and History. *

A general meaning title, surely, but also, maybe an allusion to a
representative writer on the theme?

Christopher Dawson Religion and the rise of Western culture (Gifford

Who was a fave of T(ough) S(hit) Eliot, who was a fave of TRP's we know and
whom I learned of in college and impressed a woman I went out with much
later for a short time, because her major college boyfriend--who was
religiously pure enough to want to wait for marriage -- had the same name
and one of his problems/strengths(?) was he took the nominalism quite
seriously.

Christianity and History had the same teleological end, to reduce to a
sentence.

With it coming form Cherrycoke, I see TRP as "saying" it is just another
story, not History.
