NP - Prime Original "Patriot"

Rich, you hit it on the head: absurdist with real pathos.  That combination
makes me think of Pynchon, as well as Patriot telling much of its story in
song, with lyrics in subtitles when they the spontaneous songs of the sad
protagonist. And the combination of really great "silent" film imagery
which tells its own story, and the music/songs also goes a long way good.
