Lester, Lester, Lester...

-Lester: A surname derived from the English place name- LeICEster ( It's a homophone with Lester, the "ICE" is silent).
-Lester: French. Etymology- verb, "lester"- to ballast

Well, alrighty then. Single up all lines! ( Le) ICE (ster) And blow the ballast!

Le__ster sinks to the bottom...

"ICE" floats away- out to the warming sea....

"SHE DREAMS SHE IS ALONE on the top floor of The Deseret, by the pool. Under the unnaturally smooth surface, visible through the optically perfect water, almost as an afterthought to the anxious vacancy of the space, a male Caucasian corpse in a suit and tie stretches face-up full length on the bottom as if taking a break from afterlife affairs, rolling, in some eerie semisleep, from one side to another. It is Lester Traipse, and it isn't..." (p. 209) [Ed. note: all references to Dead White Males and their insistence on dominant narratives, aside, any references here to large collecting tanks designed to collect evidence of ghostly neutrinos is, I'm sure, strictly coincidental. Besides which, such tanks are usually insulated, especially from the obfuscating racket of Guiliani-type operatives, and not on the top floors of luxury condos named after Mormon pseudo-states]

"...And briefly she is back in the corridor, Gabriel Ice's guarded mystery tunnel out in Montauk. Why? would be an interesting question to pursue..." (p. 210).
