From a hand out DC paper. Headline protesters eat bananas in support of art. A few hundred people jointly ate bananas outside Warsaw's top national Gallery Monday to protest what they called censorship, after authorities removed artwork there featuring the fruit.

The 1973 video "consumer art"by Natalie LL which shows a young woman eating a banana with great pleasure – was removed last week from the national Museum after it was deemed improper.

On Monday, museum head Jerzy Miziolek announced that the work would be reinstated but only until May 6 we when the entire modern Art Gallery is due for a re-organization.
