Anyone here ever read or heard of Matthew Stokoe's novel COWS?

I just read it, and OOF... it's a real sickie.

Suicide. Self-harm. Animal cruelty. Rape. Murder. Torture.
Cannibalism. Bestiality. Necrophilia. Coprophilia. Abortion. All of
the above, and it also serves as a meditation on the negative
dialectic of authority and hierarchy.

This is Stokoe's first novel, from 1997, and he apparently went on to
write some award-winning crime fiction, about which I know noting,
other than the fact that it exists.

It's a quick read, at 206 pages. If you find extreme fiction at all
entertaining, maybe give it a go. I did enjoy it, and it did get
better as it progressed into full-on hallucinatory mode.

Cheers!
