Not uninteresting, if interested. Jung, 1938 interview, on Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, previously lost. P likes Jung, of course, in general.

And while I am at it, here is Jefferson Morley on that most fascinating
-- and eminently quotable (apart from "Deception is a state of mind and
the mind of the State" and "It is inconceivable that a secret arm of the
government has to comply with all the overt orders of the government",
one also might be inclined to ponder "A mansion has many rooms... I'm
not privy to who struck John.") -- CIA character James Jesus Angleton
during the Blitz:
"In the face of danger, he was unmoved. After the Allied invasion of
Normandy, the Germans stepped up their blitz of London with buzz bombs,
also known as 'doodlebugs,' which announced their imminent arrival with
a sizzling sound that suddenly ceased as the bomb fell toward its
target. (...) After the ensuing explosion, Angleton would look up at
[his secretary] quizzically and ask, 'Is anything the matter?'"
Jefferson Morley, "The Ghost", p. 20.
Of course, this was a few years before the V-2 began to hit "old London
town", as described to devastating effect in GR. By then, Angleton was
in Rome, rescuing the "Black Prince" Junio Valerio Borghese from
execution: "Thanks to Angleton, Borghese survived to become titular and
spiritual leader of postwar Italian fascism." (Morley, p. 27). This in
turn created the preconditions for the Golpe Borghese in 1970 which was
aborted at the very last minute, supposedly on Nixon's orders.
But that is a different story. Those interested might also like to check
out Philip Willan's groundbreaking "Puppetmasters. The Political Use of
Terrism in Italy".
