Ferdinand and Miranda, still pure in-lovers, play chess in The Tempest!.
Who remembered that? I love it. Seething with controlled sexual energy,
they play a game that ends in mate. Footnote commentators say the
"symbolic" significance is it acts out the theme of "capturing a king", per
the brothers' lifelong
clash. now being righted. Smiling OL. I don't think so. It is about being
mated, --Shakey, that slyer than innuendo, single or double entendre
genius.
