For those panicking (or gloating) about the Mueller Report...

WE are the ones deceiving ourselves about what the Mueller file does
(and doesn't) "prove"?!

WE are the ones who followed this, and have treated it, like a
television drama?!

You're screaming into a mirror, shaking a fist at your own shadow.

As for me, despite maintaining a cautious optimism about his work, I
was no Mueller fanboy, and I have never for a moment lost the grip on
my cynical understanding of just how often "official" investigations
by the Powers That Be into the wrongdoings of the Powers That Be turn
out to be all for naught (not that we know for sure yet that such is
the case with Mueller's report... we simply DO NOT KNOW yet, so, again
I say, it is no time for either panicking OR GLOATING (unless you're
someone who is deceiving themselves about whether or not they've
actually been following the news on this as if it were a television
drama). The fact that Trump is doing victory laps is proof enough of
that.

I don't know about you, but I never needed Mueller's permission to see
the blindingly fucking obvious, here. And if the Great Disappointment
of the Mueller report comes down to splitting hairs about just exactly
how connected Kremlin intelligence agencies are to the motley
menagerie of Russian underworld figures with whom we KNOW Trump has
been doing dirty deeds for almost two decades now -- or, worse yet, if
it comes down to Mueller's team calculating the extremely low
probability of being able to wrangle this international herd of
murderous cats into anything other than the prosecutorial version of a
flea circus held on the bristling ballsack of a rampaging wild hog --
what kind of "victory" is that for Trump and/or Putin, exactly?

To the rest of you -- don't let anyone tell you that you really don't
know what you fucking well KNOW you know. Trust yourselves, now more
than ever. There's way too much riding on this shit to let THEM turn
it into a Battle of the Basic Cable Superstars.
