There was a Jody back in 2005 who related Jackie Gleason at the ballgame in DeLillo’s _Underworld_ with Euler’s equation.

Now this with the superposition, I just listened to an mit ocw lecture about that. The guy abstracted the properties to color and hardness, which I think are actually position and velocity?

But I didn’t do the problem set, yet. I can listen to lectures till the cows come home, but problem sets? need a less cluttered desk, or something. 

Applied to Putin and Trump, is it that uncertainty comes into play if you try to get info about one by watching the other, or are we saying there is a stream of particles in the polity of which Putin represents position and Trump represents vector? 

I recognized that there is a metaphor, so, good on me for that. But I reverted back to uncertainty when thinking about superposition, because I understand uncertainty a little less vaguely.

... if you wanted to clarify the terms etc (tenor, bass, alto, soprano) of the metaphor, I certainly wouldn’t object. Even if you used a high Oxonian blither.

T&P are entangled. T presents a superpostion of posturings which collapse into the political expediency of the moment, providing some indication of P's "mood." But understanding P's true nature by measuring T's position requires an error correction algorithm of some sort. The lookingglass is exquisitely sensitive and prone to cracking. P's intentions  may have already collapsed into the hot bath of oligarchical waters in which he finds himself. In other words, metaphors are only metaphors, but metaphors are all we have to make sense of the world- that, and Fortune Cookies.
