Requiestat in pace, Harold Bloom

"Anxiety of Influence," Pynchon had lots of, and he made it work for him by
fully displaying it.  References over(p)layed on each other, including and
conflating science, occult, pop, myth, psychology and psychedelia...

I think Faulkner wasn't visibly anxious in that way.  He seems very direct
and raw to me.
