Inline quickies and deeper into the alphabet!
- "Let me throw this against the wall:Iceland Spar - I can see your prose as amusing and informative. But it would take a lot of hammering before the gold I can imagine there would pass any kind of assay."
And that's if the process even worked! I don't think TRP intends us to think so.
So save your hammer, Thor!
Lower down:
-"You really could've included this link, not only because it would give you the opportunity to write "Said Said said,""
An attempt at humor?
And you could add G) more info about the 336 gas attacks would give better context. Why all this attention to only Douma?
H) annotated bibliography noting backers and viewpoint of sources, grains of salt awarded to each
I) some reference to Russian expansionism and how they, inter alia, are prone to disingenuous public statements (lying sacks of doody are not confined to the US, although it would be silly to deny their presence here)
J) more Syrian history, a better picture of the people involved, over a background raga-drone of US actions there and elsewhere that make it very, very thinkable indeed that Uncle Sam is pulling a Graham Greene Ugly American tactic.
If we didn't ever do this kinda stuff - a frickin' lot - people would find it hard to believe. As it is, even if we didn't do this one, we've scarcely begun to make up for all the other ones. Which is impossible unless we can bring back the dead.
Getting right on that!
K) the milk factory that got bombed someplace (Iraq?) which really was a milk factory when the dust cleared
L) a less tenuous Pynchon connection would be really admirable
M) As Ecclesiastes noted, "of making many books there is no end"
