All I know is some kind of friends, it seems. Solid story, I think, or
circumstantially believable story
of TRP going to Stoppard's big Russian play, somehow knowingly, when
Stoppard was at it. Implication was they knew each other.
evidently from TRP's time in England.

But, 'friends' may be too strong a word; in fact knowing each other at all
may be.......I may have projected.

TRP might just been another theater-goer to a play about ideologies in
Russia, nihilism, anarchy (of both kinds),
the horror of the state and the preterite serf, etc.
