I will mail you (or your friend) my copy of* Been Down So Long---*I will
almost surely
never read it again and the Pynchon intro is elsewhere and is the only part
of
the book I may read again---if you will send me postage plus a buck for
mailing bag
and whatever amount you think you want to pay. Seriously. I did some
'consulting' like that.

It seems I paid $1.50 (on the cover) from a used book store in Nashville
over a decade ago now.
It is the Penguin edition with Richard's toothy smile and deep black hair
and is yellowed a bit, more than a bit, by now.
No underlings or markings.
