I'd add snide, contemptuous and prone to bloviation.
I'd never heard of Buckley but this interview should be used in acting
schools to teach 'high status' body language - with the level of
physical respect he offers his guest, he might as well be chewing a
turkey leg while scratching his nethers. Constant expressions of
disbelief, of concern that Chomsky might be mad, even dangerously so,
or that Chomsky doesn't believe his own argument... plus there's
nothing safer than shutting down an argument by claiming it is
intolerant of any counter-argument.
This is great TV.
