An enlightening interview.
I've always been confused by Moore. He's heralded as the progressive
revolutionary but the filmic adaptations of Watchmen and V for
Vendetta are deeply reactionary. It's intriguing to hear that he
disavowed his revisionary Batman story The Killing Joke within months
of its publication, given how influential it was on the whole 'Batman
as the police force's unchecked murderous vigilante arm' we have
today.
The article feels like Nietszche: he's not a human being, he's a human becoming.
