at John Street,”

Financial District.

So the zapper erases the transaction - presumably recorded elsewhere in the
notorious 2nd set of books - and sales tax isn’t passed on? Fraud!

“Back to Felix’s basement pad in time for the evening movie on the
Aboriginal Peoples’ Television Network, whose film library contained every
Keanu Reeves movie ever made, including, that night, Felix’s personal
favorite favorite, Johnny Mnemonic (1995). They smoked weed, ordered in
Montreal pizza topped with little-known forms of sausage, grew absorbed in
the movie, and Nothing, as Heidi would put it, Happened, except that a
couple days later Maxine flew back to New York with a file on Vip Epperdew
chunkier by far than what she’d flown off with, and the tax office figured
their money was well spent.”

Great movie. William Gibson wrote the short story and consulted on the set
designs. Several memorable Keanu moments, detachable-thumb nanowire-fu,
Ice-T as J-Bone, leader of the Low-Teks: “I run Heaven.” Henry Rollins as a
doctor, white coat and all! Dina Myer as bodyguard crashing through the
ceiling! Get your VCRs ready, the cure for NAS is coming, courtesy of
Howard the Dolphin.
