 So as Fats Waller once remarked, “One never knows, do one?” Oh... that was a different read. Mumbo Jumbo. We finished that one.Yeah, Pynchon can be silly, lighthearted, and profound in one sentence.Bananas also have that peeling away a layer meaning like onions. “Peel Slowly and See.” ~ Andy Warhol’s cover for the Velvet Underground debut album.It might not mean anything, but “Mumbo Jumbo” has a mention of banana liquor. That’s just something that popped into my head.
