of possible influence of Joan Didion by posting a 2009 archive of
ours!.....when we were discussing* Inherent Vice*

Seems I introduce with the observation that when Joan wrote the phrase
"inherent virtue"
it must have entered TRP to come out later sea-changed. (Now we know the
phrase "inherent vice"
is in* The Recognitions.)...*hope I would not post that today.........

Then Robin posted from a major essay and had Chandler connections that
Pynchon must have known.
