I love these kinds of whacko conspiracy theories. In fact, one of my criticisms of "Bleeding Edge" is that if Pynchon was going to go down this route at all, I wish he would have doubled-down on it. If he was already willing to suggest its real, GO FOR IT! Move ahead! Try to detect it! 

Also, the time travel passage later in BE presages AtD, no? More on that when we get there.
