My text says “loas” there.  But it’s on page 49.    Open Road Media;  illustrated edition; Jan 29, 2013 - Kindle 

“In the Dark Tower Room, artists using cornmeal and water are drawing veves. Markings which were invitations to new loas for New Art.”
