P460.4-9 He kept to the river up through New Mexico to San Gabriel,
picking up the old Spanish Trail, drawn westward, visited each night now by
a string of peculiarly clear-edged dreams about Estrella Briggs. Till one
day there he was in the McElmo country, and it was almost like emerging
from a stupor he had fallen into years back. He was headed for Nochecita,
or the spur line of his destiny was. Where else? Like asking a damn
avalanche to run uphill.

The wiki points to San Gabriel, California, but that seems to be incorrect.
>From the context, the San Gabriel should be in New Mexico, since Frank was
"drawn westward", towards Nochecita, which is in Nevada.

A cursory search shows that there was a spanish settlement named San
Gabriel de Yunque-Ouinge in New Mexico, near present day Ohkay Owingeh, New
Mexico, about 30 miles north of Santa Fe. This makes sense since Santa Fe
is the eastern terminal of the Old Spanish Trail. The settlement had been
long lost by the time Frank got there, however, and wasn't rediscovered by
archeologists until the 1960s. Probably just another anachronism in the
world of AtD.
