The movies are a whole nother matter. We took the opportunity of Connery's
death to watch the first four – again for me, after more than 50 years;
first time for my wife –, and it was fun: they are documentaries of the
zeitgeist, the quite natural sexism e.g. The newer ones are a succession of
gags having not much to do with the novels.
