Hey ho, just a note for any music lovers here on the Pynchon List:
As some of you know, I have been extensively revising Spermatikos Logos’ “Pynchon On Record” pages:

…first placed online in 1996 by Larry Daw and myself. While no means as comprehensive as Christian Hänggi’s excellent work at Tim Ware’s site:

…the Spermatikos Logos pages offer many additional details, reviews, and links. Although I’m still in the process of revising and updating the material, it’s got me listening to a shit-ton of great Pynchon-related music. And I was wondering, maybe after the “Bleeding Edge” group reading is over, some folks would like to start a small, informal listening group. You know—pick a Pynchon-related song/album each week, put a towel under the dorm room door, lower the lights, give it a good listen, and talk about it some?
While I have no desire to infringe on copyrights, or pirate anyone’s music or other intellectual property, a lot of this music is deleted, out of print, and hard to find. And a lot of these tunes have already been placed on YouTube. So I have ideas about sharing this music, but I’d rather take that off-list.
So if anyone is interested in hearing/sharing/discussing Pynchon-related music—again, after the BE read—please email me off-list. If there’s enough interest, it could be fun!
