Maxine exhibits some nervousness about the possibility of evidence of other
dudes around the place being disruptive to Horst, after she gets a call
that he and the kids are coming back to New York.
There’s some nice Midwest material to putter around in & we will…
Also some video game arcana; the only one I could really relate to was
getting to sit on a subwoofer. That sounds nice. But the finer points will
yield to our analysis, maybe even moreso than the Midwest and commodities
stuff.
Horst wants to stay a few days & Maxine says, “The boys will be thrilled.”
He likes Igor’s ice cream.
Into this domestic bliss comes Driscoll, looking just like Jennifer Aniston
thanks to Maxine’s hairdressers, and bearing an invite to a big party,
thrown by who else Gabriel Ice on the 8th of September, 2001.
Horst takes the boys to a barbershop & there meets up with Detective
Nozzoli (Heidi’s beau) chasing a perp who’d been trying to sell a stolen
barbecue rig - he’s a little surprised the boys know him.
But he’s on good behavior. Tries to put together some IKEA furniture -
Maxine is pleased enough to unburden herself of some of the “Reg Despard”
and “Windust” material & he offers to help. What occurs to her is for him
to be her plus-one at the party Driscoll gave her the invitation for.
A little later, Ziggy and Otis find her giving him a preparatory dance
lesson.
