Yes. I should have made clear that I thought it was an honest mistake on
Mark's part.

All I am asking for with regard to allegations of atrocities is a
modicum of critical thinking. It is as if educated people who have no
problem reading fairly difficult novels have never heard the commonplace
about truth being the first casualty of war. It is depressing that some
would rush to judgement in such a serious matter as if Hill & Knowlton
never invented the "babies taken out of incubators" story, or Dick
Cheney never stated that Iraq and Al-Qaeda were allies, or Colin Powell
never claimed in front of the world that Iraq had WMD, to name only the
most glaring and universally accepted examples. Is this some form of
hypnosis? The US of Amnesia?

Surprisingly, for example, it would be wise to listen to the Pentagon on
Bucha:

"The Pentagon can't independently and single handedly confirm that, but
we're also not in any position to refute those claims."

We don't know. So we should not rush to judgement.

Of course, I don't doubt that horrible things happen. They happen on
both sides. And the assumption must be that everybody lies. It's a war.
