I’d say, yes, Norma’s city of origin is Cedar Rapids - because it’s not
famous for any particular kind of legs, as far as I know. It’s just
telling us she’s from there and young.

Whereas the chorus line at the Windmill is no doubt famous for legs, so
there’s no putative connection between Marjorie and the Windmill other than
the fabulosity of legs.

And - “He knows he can spill what’s on his mind,” you’re right, it means he
can trust Tantivy.

V.22.1-5, P22.20-24 He knows he can spill what’s on his mind. It hasn’t
much to do with today’s amorous report on Norma (dimply Cedar Rapids subdeb
legs), Marjorie (tall, elegant, a build out of the chorus line at the
Windmill) and the strange events Saturday night at the Frick Frack Club in
Soho, a haunt of low reputation with . . .

This means he knows he can confide in Tantivy, is that correct?

Also, "dimply Cedar Rapids subdeb legs" DOES NOT mean Norma is from Cedar
Rapids, and "a build out of the chorus line at the Windmill" DOES NOT mean
Marjorie works at the Windmill, right? Asking because that's how the
published translation interprets it.
