GR translation: Jews also carry an element of guilt

Does this mean guilt in the minds of people who have sold out Jews to the
Nazis, or is it something else?  Who is possibly getting blackmailed and
how?




My simplistic breakdown - but it could be correct - is that when they sell
out a Jew, they know they are doing something wrong.

But also, the person might have an inkling, or a premonition, that history
might shift (as readers and author of GR know) & some Jews (or future war
crimes investigators) might later be in a position & of a mind, to pursue
retribution.

So their guilt could also become currency if anyone later wanted to sell
the “turner-in” out.

There’s an implied contempt for those (“ the professionals”) who offer the
info to the highest bidder without regard for principle.
