> The shift to open source for for Deep Archer is interesting. Perhaps more revolutionary than first glance reveals. I just heard an exerpt of a podcast interview with Eric Schmidt as one of 4 participants in which he claimed to be scared because the Chinese are on parity with the US as regards ai, and according to him their progress was a result of information available through the open source approach to programming. He just wrote a book with Henry Kissinger, not making this up, about where the world is headed, in which the role of ai is central. Besides the Chinese ‘threat’, he was equally concerned about ‘misinformation’, seemingly mostly pandemic misinformation; but one participant suggested that the government/ ai /high tech community’s role in handling the virus and providing reliable information was not particularly impressive and was actually an embarrassment . Schmidt completely ignored these comments. Here I have to ask something like what the fuck does it mean when heavy hitters of this kind get together to plot the world’s future, one a war criminal on the scale of the nazis and the other one the tech wizard for both commercial sales and surveillance and for’intelligence surveillance and other military applications, (along with ranking what internet searches reveal). There are clearly more elements in the repetoire of these master planners leading toward an Orwellian or perhapsPhilip K Dick type outcome than toward anything remotely benign.

I would suggest that wikileaks appears on the scene soon after 911 and along with a slew of investigatitive reporters and whistleblowers, from Sy Hersch to Edward Sowden and Julian Assange expose themoney trail and the lies in the mainstream narrative about culpability, motive etc.
