KIEV  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed a desire to implement the Minsk <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/minsk.html> agreements, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday after talks in Kiev <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/kiev.html>.

On Monday, Macron met with Russian <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/russia.html> President Vladimir Putin <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/vladimir.html> in Moscow <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/moscow.html>.

"Yesterday, President Putin <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/vladimir.html> and I discussed this issue for a long time. And he himself confirmed his readiness to comply with the Minsk <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/minsk.html> agreements. And thank you (Zelenskyy) for confirming your desire to implement these agreements during our talks (in Kiev <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/kiev.html>)," Macron told a press conference, adding that Ukraine <https://www.urdupoint.com/en/latest-news/ukraine.html> has reaffirmed its commitment to a ceasefire in Donbas.
It appears  to this p-lister that Macron decided that Putin was right that a Nato vs. Russia war would be a no win , everybody loses  option. He told Zelensky which way the wind in the EU was blowing, and I think Zelensky may have been concerned about the bs from Biden of immediate threat of Russian invasion and secret Russian false flag film which was obviously a desperate tactic and not a reality (and not nearly as much fun as a pee video). Other factors may be that the US rhetoric of war and sanctions ( seems to be the only play in their playbook) was stupid because Europe needs the Gas and there are many international investors in the pipeline including Shell ( or one of the US biggies), and between Nato’s destructive powers and Russia's hypersonic missiles nobody wants to think too much about an actual war. And because US sanctions don’t mean shit to Russia/China and the Stans.
