total mass retain

I was going to let this drop, as I'm sure it's uninteresting most Listers, but I cannot let Jerky's challenge stand!

An AMATEUR, you say, my friend? Ho ho ho! I am quite familiar with RIO, although I prefer Etron Fou Leloublan to 5uu, and probably Univers Zéro most of all. (Though 5uu is quite good!) I have an extensive collection of 1970s Andalusian prog, possess every King Crimson box set, and can rattle off the date of every Steven Wilson prog remaster. I am currently listening to Wobbler as I type this, with Centipede queued up next, just for spite!

And feel free to make your puns, my dear friend: but note that the *language* is Kobaïan -- "zeuhl" is merely "celestial!"

PS: But seriously, email me offlist and we can chat about obscure prog ALL DAY LONG! I also love Anekdoten...!

When it comes to Prog Rock Love, I'm willing to bet y'all cats are
AMATEURS compared to MY ridiculous, shameless self.

I'm too sick to come up with the sort of (admittedly excellent) proggy
puns in the style of whoever it is who wanted mountains to come out of
the sky and STAND THERE (was it you, David?), but if I wasn't this
sick, my puns would involve my adventures with a trio of Lamia who
leave a scent of garlic to linger on my chocolate fingers, and it
    would be in Zeuhl, monkeyfisters!!!

Don't talk to me about obscure until you've discovered and fallen
forever in love with bizarre Israeli Rock In Opposition bands like The
5 UU's, or Swedish bands who devote themselves entirely to emulating
exactly ONE of King Crimson SIX distinct stylistic periods (that band
would be Anekdoten, and that stylistic period would be the "Lark's
Tongues in Aspic/Starless and Bible Black/Red" era).

So try finding The 5UU's song "Roan" from their album "Hunger's
Teeth", and/or Anekdoten's "From Within", from the eponymous album on
Youtube. They don't have fancy-shmancy "vidayos" (with the exception
of a few live ones, but ignore those), but the songs are there. ...Oh,
    boy, are they ever.

Enh. I'm tired. Gotta go lie down.
