And re: Jerky... "Lizard" is a great album! If you have the system for it, I HEARTILY recommend the Steven Wilson 5.1 surround sound mix. It's the best mix of an album that I've ever heard, hands down. The multiple horns in the suite "Lizard" itself are mind-blowing. And I'm, not saying that just for Jon Anderson's guest vocals! __
Wilson's remixes in general are revelatory, especially on early KC, mid-period Jethro Tull, and Yes' "Relayer."
And yes, Mark! COUNT ME IN! I'm happy to join a Pynchon Proggies sub-list. Maybe we could call it "The Scope!"
