I am only going to read the beginning of this paper regarding BE, maybe as
it gets to where we are in the Read, since this is a cold, first thoughts
best thoughts but checking back Read for me
so I did read the guy say that even the blurbs on the book stress the
mystery, the unanswered questions and we do know pretty surely that Pynchon
thru Melanie had blurb and
jacket-writing power.
Also, I think by going right to Baudrillard et al and never mentioning
McLuhan, the author might not be aware of McLuhan's deep, maybe deepest
influence on Pynchon's understanding of the media.
