who is one of the few women on the Plist. She predates me on it
but does not post as much as some. I see her as somehow Plist foundational,
in reality or in the ideal. I remember stuff she taught me.
I respected her simple just request not to crazedly post dozens of Ukraine
"news'
and opinion bits, because I know I went over the edge one early morning
so upset over falsehoods and lies and posted like a cereal killer. (sic)
So, couple-three posts re Ukraine things and done this morning, one
involving a Plister. Delete immediately
if a bother.
If you would like to get some more out-of-the-mainstream news and opinion
and feeling
about Russia's war on Ukraine just ask offline..I have a separate list of a
few Plisters who want that.
As Morris said, this is our world and the events are world-changing. The
whole world is watching. (not really, most don't really care)
Hundreds, soon thousands, are dying while we live securely.
I think we all agree Thomas Pynchon has plunged as deeply as he could into
'our world' in the past and in every book thru NYC (and the nation)
in *Bleeding Edge* and I will bet my screwed-in ass that he is watching.
"In the destructive element immerse" was Joe Conrad's
advice to writers and Thomas did not go into the Navy or Boeing because he
had to.
