GR translation: suspect is known as a notorious ctenophile

I was asking because the published translation specified the "suspect" was
female, implying it being Jessica, while I thought the "ctenophile" refers
to Roger himself, and the term "suspect" is from the point of view of the
military police. Am I making any sense?
