What is wonderful in the new book *The Saint and the Sinner *mostly about
D and the writing of *Crime & Punishment, *in which the author shows
aspects
of his whole life and times----D's time in prison when he talked to all the
murderers
he could, for example ---and explored D's understanding of nihilists which

are wonderfully characterized by D as supposed thinkers who can't think
ideas to
their conclusions......therefore see everything as bad...(In their
respective ways)...
D writes about half-formed notions that combine with character flaws and
viola......
sick minds.....

it is how he wrote Raskolnikov if you remember or if you read it.......
