Focusing on "I'm not upset" is great......not romantic, yes, yes, but let's
parse it a moment...

A self-centered type aware of a sexual partner's 'feelings' in this way: he
knows many women
worry that the man is upset over something....because that is HIS
experience largely.......
So, he thinks he is bening sensitive or something by reassuring her......

And upset is a polite society way of saying a little angry, right?
