Funny mention of D&B as the product I use in my work are based on
self-reported info by the companies themselves. hardly objective
w/r/t to Channel 13 upper class dynasty, I think Pynchon is referring to
its coterie of major philanthropists and corporate and foundation support
of shows like Masterpiece Theatre and others. I should know I used to work
there. haha
