Longish description of 9-11 aftermath.

There’s a hidden track which Igor discovers on the Stinger DVD, consisting
of Reg’s footage in the “toilet” at hashslingrz which he described in ch 9,
of seeming Arabs assembling something.

Igor identifies it as a vircator, something with which to generate an EMP
so as to disrupt communications and computers.

He further specifies it isn’t Russian or Arabic, but some kind of
retrofitting on perhaps an Estonian knockoff.

This doesn’t fit any known narrative & Igor suggests they both think about
it.

Driscoll moves in, a displaced person.

Luckily the spare bedroom is free because Horst has moved back in the
bedroom with Maxine, with all the privileges and responsibilities that
entails, to the accompaniment of Frank Sinatra & a really nice b flat in
“Time After Time” (it is indeed)

Maybe a little more prolonged here?

Eric also comes seeking shelter, and Maxine places him in the spare bedroom
with Driscoll.
Apparently Ambien can be a recreational drug, who knew?

Heidi has some choice words on the sociology of current gyrations.
“Infantilization” is one of them.

Maxine’s subconscious, perhaps, provides her with a turn on that idea, with
a one-foggy-day apparition in which 3 kids she sees daily on her walks to
Kugelblitz are SORAS’ed into middle-aged men, and staring at her.

The next day they’re kids again.
