*Picketty’s advice* (according to Mark)*:*
“challenge Beijing’s rising hegemony by *abandoning its ‘dated
hyper-capitalist model’ *and promoting instead a *‘new emancipatory
egalitarian horizon on a global scale’.*
[which is not exactly the same thing as]
“advocating democratic socialism.”

*His advice seems to be to:*
1. Abandon the  battle against  *Other Super Bullies*  for resource control
(AKA Imperialist hegemony).
2.  Support emancipation of former subjects are in order to *promote **natural
unforced alliances*. Thus short-cutting militaristic strategies, even those
by others (China).

Excellent advice, in my opinion.
