My question is Does Snowden want this now?....Unlike many, Snowden admitted
he was gobsmacked by the Invasion and has hardly spoken
publicly since.....did say he was still processing it all....(But I've
hardly kept up with him in any way)

I will suggest might have done this to MAKE SURE Snowden doesn't flee
Russia. All those countries which will NOT take Russians now.
