I do too......his investment in anything we might call, and I dislike the
label, anti-American goes so deep
that he seems to latch onto strands of all kinds of criticism of US policy
and builds a justification around it.
Kafka has a story; Gass's The Tunnel might be another. (I could not finish
that but how a mind tunnels itself
is how we might see that.

In this case it is that NATO Atlantic Alliance thing he projects
everywhere, it seems.

O yeah, and he seems to think all 'freedom fighters" are akin to and being
treated like the Vietnamese in that
horror war....

And, when he scathingly, sarcastically rejected EVERYTHING involved in
International Law is when I finally, finally gave
him up totally...even the fiercest critics of the inadequacy of
international law as it stands at least, obviously, believes in
international law....Joseph's foreign policy frame is the fiercest of
force...of might makes right....combined with a total
hatred of the might of the US, no matter what it does.....

Does part of this Russia love come from thinking the US was all wrong to
wage the cold war against "communism"?
