Well, yeah, but a little more basic consideration of the Joyce/Pynchon connection might start with a comparison of Dubliners and the Slow Learner collection; or even The Secret Integration and Ulysses. What could be more indicative of a literary integration than that elongated S of "Stately, plump Buck Mulligan...," beginning the process of integrating 20 years of wondering into a day in the life?
