Hi, I hope this finds you well.

I recently enjoyed reading this thread from the timezone database
discussion list. It feels very much like something from one of Pynchon's
novels. It concerns the timezone of the Antarctic research base, Vostok,
and I won't spoil it further:

A quiet NYE here as I'm with Covid. The linked thread has had me
considering a re-read of AtD. So maybe I'll see in the new year with the
