(I remember that morning well), I want to post what I
learned from Chris Whipple's book* The Fight of His Life.*
How lucky Ukraine and the world was that Russia (Putin) was
so arrogant and out of touch with reality that his army did NOT
attack with full air strength nor did they use their full cyberattack
capability sez the Pentagon> Had they done the latter, Ukraine's
battlefield communication could have been eliminated---which was
the thing that most enabled them to know how and where to resist
effectively.
The military admin leadership says it was Putin's hubris "that he did not
think
he needed to do that"; cakewalking did not require it.
Whipple says in his book that this is previously unreported: Two Russian
planes
full of paratroopers, hundreds, destined to land around the airfield were
blown out of the sky that morning.
